OUR MISSION

We would like to introduce our Bayani Kollection—NFTs that honor our mga bayani (heros) and use their powers of nourishment to propel our current global community forward while creating a strong  artistic foundation for generations to come.

Each bayani represents different forms of nourishment, giving us not only food for our bodies, but for our minds, hearts, and souls.  You will be able to kollect various storylines of each and depending on the story, a portion of that NFT sale will go to a cause or philanthropic effort resonant with each hero. All causes will be chosen with our own pillars of identity, culture, and empowerment as the core foundation.

The different tokens or forms of nourishment will also lead to future experiences, whether it be in our restaurant or anywhere else in the world, to expand upon them. Our intention is to utilize the great reach that NFTs have, moving beyond the confines of our 12 seats to connect with you no matter where your island lies in this global archipelago. We are a chain, connected by our experiences.

We will release a limited number of each storyline, always holding at least one token back to put in our Community Equity Seed Vault. Our aim for this vaulted asset will be to act as a security for future generations. We find that history repeats itself, whether it be a pandemic, war, or natural disasters, and though the Filipino/BIPOC spirit is strong and resilient, they are often the ones at the greatest disadvantage, where culture and expression can suffer because we are suddenly just trying to survive. These “futures” will be used to develop and rebuild socially responsible tools for growth, and not merely for monetary aid/gain. Because as Bulosan has shown us, “it is only when we have plenty to eat—plenty of everything— that we begin to understand what freedom means.” We cannot be “merely living, but becoming a creative part of life.”

As we move forward, our hopes are that we will also gain enough momentum to unlock more bayani, allowing our community to inform who some of our future ones could be.  Though we are starting off with the ones we honor at dinner each night, we know there are so many more. As we have learned from the late Fred Cordova,  not everyone needs to be famous, but everyones’ stories matter. 

Let us share the often overlooked yet incredible impact of those around us and allow their stories to inspire a better future.

OUR SUSTAINABLE LAUNCH

We do not have a marketplace or launch date set as we are still debating on how we want to venture into this world in a sustainable way. We are aware of NFTs impact on our environment and wish to not only be responsible, but to also help steer the conversation and movement towards more eco-friendly platforms and practices, because we cannot build a solid foundation for the future if we are not protecting the land that will nourish them.

We chose to share our kollection plans before making these crucial decisions to provide transparency with our community and hopefully with those we have not yet met. We are very excited to let you all know what’s coming and can’t wait to explore new creative ways to connect—because representation matter, in ALL spaces.
