Wine chats: Shae Frichette of Frichette Winery and Sashay Wines

At Archipelago we've been blessed to have amazing relationships with our producers, visiting them throughout the year and sharing their stories at our dinner table. It has always been a mission of ours to make sure that the money coming though Archipelago goes back into the community by sourcing from small and BIPOC owned and operated businesses and to highlight the diversity of contributions to this region. Unfortunately, like with all things, we haven't been able to connect with everyone the way we had before the pandemic. So we are excited to share that over the past 2 months we've been chatting via zoom with some incredible BIPOC owner and producers working in an industry that is hugely underrepresented—the wine industry. We will be sharing their stories... and of course their wine.

This week we are sharing our chat with Shae Frichette, co-owner of Frichette Winery and owner of Sashay Wines. Gracie and Aaron had the pleasure of chatting with her about her winery, running a family-owned small business and her commitment to her community and the visibility of black women in wine. It was an incredibly fruitful conversation and we are excited about this new partnership. Thank you so much, Shae!!

NEW WINE!

This week we are offering with Pamana and our Balikbayan Boxes a Semillon from Frichette Winery. This pure varietal Semillon has pear on the nose and green apple on the palate. A beautiful complement to meat dishes and seafood dishes alike.

Valentine’s Couples Spotlight

As we continue to spotlight the amazing couples we work with on the days leading up to the Valentine’s weekend, we wanted share wisdom from Shae Frichette about working with her husband, Greg. We definitely took notes and @grayseas got to put everyone on the spot 😂. We haven’t yet had the pleasure of meeting Greg, but we hope we get to soon! Thank you Shae & Greg! We are inspired by your work, your creativity, and your partnership!
